Green card is the authorization given to immigrants that allows them permanent residency in the United States and the naturalization of the immigrants to the laws of the US. The green card holders are lawfully permitted to seek and take up employment in the US, obtain residence and be subject to the laws and benefits that are accorded to US citizens.
